It was a bright afternoon between rain storms on January 24th as two cars stuffed with diapers pulled into the parking lot of the Modesto Pregnancy Center’s downtown satellite office. Eager helpers Lilly (age 7) and Valentina (age “7 and 11/12ths”) unloaded the donations collected at Calvary Chapel Modesto during January’s Diaper Drive.
KYCC radio host Anthony Aguirre was on hand filing live updates for the day’s Diaper Dash, the three hour push that caps off the month. “This is the twenty third year,” Aguirre said, the Stockton-based Christian FM station has sponsored the events, which support area crisis pregnancy centers.
Lilly and Valentina waved goodbye to us and hello to the cars that were waiting to take our place, but not before Lilly asked us to pass on her personal thanks.
