Good Afternoon Helps & Prayer Teams,
We completed the gift bags for the staff and volunteers at Modesto Pregnancy Center for their staff meeting last week! They were so grateful and some staff members asked that we let you know what a blessing your encouragement, support and prayers are during this time as they wait on the State to respond to their submission.
The Lord led our Helps Team in a variety of ways to make this gift special and a reflection of His love. We were able to give all 29 volunteers a gift bag filled with a variety of snacks and drinks and a homemade bookmark. Then each of the 30 employees received a similar variety of snacks but also received a special gift that included a additional handmade bookmark, a $10 Culture Coffee Gift Card and a handmade bracelet (swapping out the bracelet with a special mug for the one male employee).
Thank you Helps Team for using your gifts for His glory and sharing your talents as you are able!
Two April Babies
Jessica, (one of the Moms Fran has been mentoring) delivered a beautiful baby girl, Madeline Olivia.
Helps Team: We would love to bless their family by providing some meals, making the transition of a new baby a little easier. Click here if you would like to participate.
Another bright spot in the month of April is little Moses who was born to Momma B. She moved out of the area before she delivered to live where she had more family support and recently sent this pic to Fran.
Prayer Team: On a more somber note, Fran spoke with Momma D about her 5 year old sister Lea (whom we’ve been praying for since she was hit by a car on April 16th). The doctors are thinking Lea may be permanently paralyzed, she still has not been able to move her legs. The family is broken-hearted. She was moved out of intensive care last week. She is alert and responsive. The doctors are monitoring her carefully, trying to keep her oxygen levels stable. The family is waiting for a room to open up at the Ronald McDonald house at the hospital so the family has a place to stay when they visit.
This is the second great tragedy in a year’s time for Momma D. Pray for strength, comfort and that she will reach out to the Lord in this difficult time. The family has voiced several times their gratitude for prayer from the Embrace Life team. Fran will be taking a gift basket for Lea when she visits Momma D this week.
One final note for those who weren’t in Second Service this Sunday, Jamie and Michael White had Eliza dedicated. Pastor Damian asked Jamie to share about Eliza before he prayed and she shared about Eliza’s birth 10 weeks early and her diagnosis with Lissencephaly due to a virus Jamie contracted during her pregnancy.
Jamie explained that those with Lissencephaly usually only live 2 years, but said:
“Eliza is teaching us what it means to trust in the Lord and to live every day as if it’s your last. We are incredibly thankful.”
