September 2024 Praises & Prayer Requests

Hi Prayer Team,

We have had a little summer respite and now we are ramping up for the fall.  Here are some current prayer requests & praise reports (with a copy here to print out for your fridge if you’d like):

• Mentors: We praise the Lord for our mentors who have been faithfully meeting with the Moms referred to us throughout the summer.  Thank you for praying for them as we’ve sent out their prayer requests via text.

  Pray for Fran, Glenda & Michelle as they meet with the Moms referred to us; that God would reveal His heart for each mom and that God would give each of our mentors gifts of wisdom and knowledge related to how He wants to minister to them.  That each mentor would have words filled with grace and seasoned with salt and be wise as a serpent and gentle as a dove.

• Moms: We praise the Lord for 2 moms who have a heart to know Jesus more and we are seeing fruit in their lives as they engage in fellowship here at Calvary and study His word.

  Each mom is different and God knows their needs and their individual challenges. Pray that new moms referred to us would connect with their mentor and follow the Spirit’s promptings as He draws each one closer to Himself.  That they would surrender to Him and walk in obedience and freedom.  That they would hunger for His word and allow Him to lead them.  

  One of the moms we first mentored in 2022 recently reached out again.  Please pray that she surrenders her will to Jesus to receive His help.

• Office Workday (Saturday, Sept 14th): – We praise the Lord that we have filled all the spots for our Office Work Day!! God is so good!!

  Pray that we accomplish all that we have set out to do and that our team has a blessed day of fellowship as we serve together; that the Gift Boxes we are prepping for our Pregnancy Loss Ministry will offer the comfort, hope and encouragement that Jesus wants them to be; pray that the Gift Bags we are prepping for Modesto Pregnancy Center’s Gala will be a blessing to them.

• Helps Team & The Modesto Pregnancy Center (MPC) Gala: – Pray that our service to MPC as we help them Tear Down would bless them and enable them to get home sooner than they plan; that the MPC staff are encouraged by the amount of help that God brings alongside them; that the Gala overall would be the blessing God intends it to be as He raises up support for MPC.

• Pregnancy Loss Support: We praise the Lord for each woman who is reaching out  related to their pregnancy Loss.  MPC Staff and those from our fellowship who are able to offer our Pregnancy Loss Gift Boxes are so grateful for the opportunity to minister to those who are hurting.

  Please pray for Hayley Volfi to have God’s strength and wisdom as she continues to meet with women on an ongoing basis related to pregnancy loss.  Pray she has vision for the next Support Night and that the Lord would bring the moms & dads that He desires to come and be encouraged and comforted.  That each would turn to Him and their relationship with Jesus would be strengthened.

• October Bottle Drive: Pray that our October Bottle Drive will raise awareness about MPC’s Ministry and that God would stir the hearts of those He wants to support MPC financially.  That He would use many in our fellowship to be the blessing to MPC that He desires us to be; that God would use the Bottle Drive in the lives of the Youth and the Adults at CCModesto to draw their attention to God’s heart for the preborn and that those He calls would step out to serve at MPC or in Embrace Life as He leads them.
